NOTES TO THE
FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
27. Financial instruments: information on financial risks (cont’d)
27G. Foreign currency risk (cont’d)
The above table shows sensitivity to a hypothetical 10% variation in the functional currency against the relevant
foreign currencies. The sensitivity rate used is the reasonably possible change in foreign exchange rates. For similar
rate weakening of the functional currency against the relevant foreign currencies above, there would be comparable
impacts in the opposite direction.
The analysis above has been carried out on the basis that there are no hedged transactions.
In management’s opinion, the above sensitivity analysis is unrepresentative of the foreign currency risks as the
historical exposure does not reflect the exposure in future.
27H. Equity price risk
The fair value of the unquoted investments as available-for-sale financial assets is deemed to be not reliably
measurable as the probabilities of the various estimates within the range cannot be reasonably assessed as used in
estimating fair values. Consequently the investment is carried at cost less allowance for impairment, if any (Note 16).
Sensitivity analysis: The effect on post tax profit is not significant.
